I'm far from an expert in 3d printing, and alot of the terms used in these forums is a little over my head. My printer was working fine when out of the blue it would take the x axis all the way to the left, grind a little and usually drive the extruder into the glass. this is with repetier host. If I manually move extruder to the position it normally starts it will take off to the left as described. If I try to home the extruder from anywhere else, the Y returns OK, but X only moves a mm or 2 to the left. I have tried this on 2 different computers that I usually print from with the same results. I have also tried it from Soliprint where the extruder takes off in the Y direction, but hugging the right side of the printer before moving to the left and trying to activate the Z probe switch backwards- then grinding into the glass.
