They do require both filament slots to be occupied rather they are in use or not.

I also found that it won't work if you only have one cartridge installed. When I put too in and loaded them it seemed to work. Hope this helps

Have you tried a different file?

could just be a bad file. Much of the stuff from Thingiverse is not actually printable as the people designing them have no clue what is necessary for printing. Unless your model has prints posted already it ids most likely not printable.

I am super frustrated and hoping you found the solution to the problem! please let me know what you've done since and if you've gotten it to work! I'm desperate and considering returning the printer which isn't even 2 weeks old!
