Alright, I'm not in 3D printing industry for a long time。
I left WeisTek in 2016 for some big gaming accessories company sent me an offer with triple salary.
Can't refuse that, right?

Its almost CNY holiday thusly not too much work to do and it comes nowhere that I recall this post, the HUGE debate I have in my career.

Have reviewed all replies once more, and now I can see why it happens.

First, have to say that I'm too eager to defend and prove myself and make things worse and worse..

Meanwhile, WeisTek's 3D printer are mostly focused at education level, and you guys are Pro. some even with industry level requirements.

Further more, as a B2B sales manager, I should not make this post at the first place, its the marketing manager's job to do so.

Now things are long gone, and I'd like to thank you guys spent time on this post, sorry for some of my offensive words.

And please be nice to those new members, I don't know what things are like now, but all information I posted here were actually real at that point. WeisTek are still in business and CES show after this post were quite successful.

Let's keep our opinions on "over priced", while I got your point on "small bed" issue, and have forward your information to our marketing like I said yesterday.

I'm not marketing or product manager here in my company, I think my colleagues are also have to consider domestic market, 3D printing is still a new thing in China and most business here in local are printing some small things at home or in classroom, our next product is for kids, remember? =]

WeisTek produce both printer and filament by our own, if my "small toy" didn't interests you, how about my filament? 0.03mm average accuracy tolerance is quite good for the business, right?

I am surely not come here to argue, while what I have here, as you can see, makes me have to defend the reputation of my product and my company, I mean look the words they choose to use.

So far, no one here seems to be business-willingly, but trying so hard to prove I'm a liar. This is an open community, I can not just leave it here unanswered, right?

As for the sample, all I have here so far, is go like "give me a sample, I dare you, LIAR!".

The same as you, I don't own the company, even if some one want to buy a sample, at least I will need to fill in customer information to our CRM system, right? Who, from which company, in what purpose, why for free or loan, what will the potential profit, right? Every boss will ask these questions to their sales, right?

Guys, business can NOT be done by PM and post reply here, be serious, for I'm here seriously and sincerely to make some business, email me and we can move forward.

Here is an example of what I mean about the direction the industry is going. This is a usable size since you can actually print useful furniture and other functional things with it. I know 1 meter cube is a bit large but even a 1foot cube is still very useful and functional. 6 inches just is not that much room to work with.

Thr Amazon price is $1800 at only one vendor who has none in stock and has no idea when more will arrive.

Now I'm confused, I don't know which model you are refering to, because all the 3 printer I posted here are all available on amazon and none of them are at $1800.

I am the wrong person to talk to as I do not currently own a 3D printing business, nor am I a reseller.  While I work for a computer manufacturer, I don't own the company, I'm just the manager of product development and engineering.

Anyway, you are looking for a reseller here in the states, so you'll need to talk to someone that is already in the business.  There are a couple of those folks here already, but you may have already alienated them.  If you still want to pursue a possible connection here, then I suggest you start over, and rather than ARGUE the performance of your product, let the potential customers test and make their own mind about the value.

I'm not saying give it away, but if you really want the business, then accept a evaluation PO (30 days), send the unit at your cost, then it will be shipped back, unless we (whomever the evaluator will be) decide to keep it, and pay for it.

BTW, you never even mentioned the cost of this unit (at least not that I remember).

Yes, agree on your point, trade show changes a lot nowadays, ten years ago, Buyer come to Canton Fair to put mass quantity purchase order on site, while now, trade show is a channel for buyer and seller to meet, getting to know each other at business level, exchange business card, have a general proposal on cooperate if sample on site looks good, all real orders are way behind the show.

Yes WT150 are no longer available, in fact, it is just WT200 with a different packing, and after our marketing found out consumer don't quite care about this so we focused on WT200 then. Anyway, like I said, Amazon was not my territory in my company.

My team and I are not US based, or else I'll be pleasure to bring our sample to anyone's office here for show. We stay in Shenzhen, China, address listed on my Spec. so if any chance, all of you are welcomed for a visit. Salary of my team, well, more than $250, actually I mean around $1,000, for its not just UPS we pay for an express forth and back, also there will be commission for their sales, so they cool.

When WeisTek decide to build the high speed printer, my team and Ken Kwok as well all suggested to make a different looking one, with bigger bed, while somehow, we still got a similar one with 6' bed at last. its not cool to judge my colleague's work behind them, so  I will just quote and forward your suggestion to our marketing, go like "hear the voice from battlefront!"

Our next product will focused on young consumer, kids I mean, with simple feature, cute looking, project name "mini-toy", its still on engineering prototype stage, so maybe later when I have solid information I will share it here.

Of course I hope to find some good reseller here in US, wholesaler or distributor, some one can process local business activity. its all in the title of my post =]

You claim you are the US based sales manager for their overseas sales. Are you not US based? I ask because I don't know of anyone in sales that would work for $250 a month. Maybe a week, and that is still low but not a month.

Just saw your new post that claims to be your first post,  yep you are a sales person..  I found the model in question but $1300 for a 6 x 6 bed is laughable. The industry is moving towards bigger beds now but I guess your company missed that memo. For smaller beds or desktops as you may call them for schools or those that just want to see what 3d printing is like the 6 inch bed is fine and many companies are making those. BUT those are being sold at the lowest cost possible to the buyer for on average less than $600 USD. I would never pay $1300 for 6 inches of build space even if it could print at light speed. I need to print large objects and often times have to break them up and design ways of interconnecting the parts to make the finished full size object and I am currently using a 6 x 9 bed. I would rather have a 12 x 12 or larger but my current frame won't support that and I have spent too much on printers already.

I would also suggest that before you try to market in the US that you secure a reputable US reseller who also will handle and stock a complete line of parts for your printers otherwise you will fall into the same trap as XYZprinting did with their Da Vinci series. People here in the US and the UK as well prefer to do their own repairs even at the sacrifice of the warranty and do not expect to nor accept the idea of shipping back over seas at cost for repair or warranty claim.

1600 Yuan is $250USD, not $1000USD. Also those rates are pretty poor...

$250 go, then $250 back, and that is just what we pay to UPS.

This is the same as one month salary of one of my sales team member here, also enough of us to make some real Ad. on some magazine or website or trade show brochure in this industry, and I'm pretty sure they will be quite nice to me.

And, again, you missing the point, $10 or $1,000, some body has to pay it and this is not refundable.

I know you still don't believe me, but still, you followed my post for this a long, so, really, thanks you for attention.

I will keep update on my company and our products here, until no body doubting me, and hopefully end up with some real business.

Please, be fair, I'm not some individual make something up in some garage by my own. I work for a company and have rules to follow.

Ask yourself, If you are the boss, your product are showing in Miami and will be showed in Vegas later, will you allow your employee send a free sample to some he just know for the first time on a internet community? There is not even formal business contact by email yet. Will you?

1600 Yuan is $250USD, not $1000USD. Also those rates are pretty poor, I'd hope as a business that's not what you're paying.
