Everything is now working although wifi is a bit slower than I would have thought. Focused camera, aligned and calibrated camera and lasers. Performed a few test scans, now I just need to work on optimizing lighting and learning how to use meshlab and meshmixer. Thanks to everyone for their help and Uriah for an outstanding and well thought out design.

Thanks Byrom, you were correct. Everything works fine with Ethernet. Haven't got my wifi to work yet but I'm confident. On a separate note, I know that with Octoprint there is a configuration wizard for setting login and password as well as for expanding the filesystem to utilize the entire SD card. Is there a similar feature for FreeLSS?

Thanks, that makes sense. I was using a wireless keyboard and it's possible that it isn't being recognized. I'll try to dig up a USB keyboard. I'm sure I have one hiding somewhere.

pirvan, I think he needs to log on to set the wireless settings so that he can get an IP address.

Here's my guess: I think you are getting the logon prompt. The part that says "atlas3d login:" is the logon prompt. The thing is that some background software is running and it's also writing output to standard out. So, it just started putting output text where you expected the prompt. That's the "Camera initialized....." part down to "on port 80...". It's harmless, but confusing.

Have you tried pressing ENTER on the keyboard? I would expect you'll get another logon prompt that says "atlast3d login:" and then you'll be able to log on like you expect. If nothing happens, then maybe your keyboard isn't plugged in all the way or something?

Byrom

The Atlas 3D is normally accessed through a remote web connection, not a local connection.

Make sure you're plugged into a network, then using another PC on the network, connect to it's IP address with a web browser. FreeLSS is already running, so you'll connect to the main page

I'm working through the start-up instructions and I've installed the atlas3d.img file on my SD card and everything appears to boot normally when starting up but I never receive a log-in prompt. The screen goes through the startup routines with multiple lines of commands and finally ends with:
atlas3d login: Camera initialized
reinitialized.
running on port 80...

I have an HDMI monitor and keyboard/mouse connected. I have tried booting with and without an ethernet connection but get the same results. Based on the start instructions I was expecting a log in prompt.
Did I miss a step somewhere?
