			<description><![CDATA[<p>I am using the default retraction settings for a SD3.&nbsp; I was able to fix the fatter bottom layers by adjusting my bed height.&nbsp; On 1mm prints the strands are much better than at 3mm.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>In theory the hotter the plastic is the better it bonds but going too hot makes it runny.&nbsp; I usually print the first layer at 195 then go down to 185 for the rest of the layers. </p><p>As for the strings thats a retraction issue.&nbsp; What are you using for retraction settings?</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[Best temperature and first few layers]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>I just got my SD3 yesterday and so far things have been pretty good.&nbsp; I do have a quick few questions that I think that someone here can easily answer.</p><p>1. The first few layers are a little wider than the rest (very minimal).&nbsp; I&#039;m trying to print something that is pretty precise and was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this.&nbsp; Would making my temperature hotter or cooler help or could it be that the z axis is slightly out of alignment.</p><p>2. From some of the prints that I have done (and others that I have seen on here) there have been a few strands of plastic that go from one point to another.&nbsp; What is the best thing that can be done to minimize these?&nbsp; Would this be a temperature issue, a retraction issue, or both?</p><p>Thanks</p>]]></description>
