I liked the mendel max a lot, But in the end I decided to go with a standard prusa mendel. I was just easier to source the parts in my area for a prusa mendle. I've already started on one of the triangles. Ill let yall know how the build goes(lol if I ever finish) . Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I do agree a MendelMax would be a good machine. The guy from the blog designs lots of custom extruders, so it would be nice to fit them easily.

I'm kind of looking at a MendelMax. The extruded frame seems pretty stable and scalable, but even at base model, the build platform is bigger than the SD2. It would be an exercise in building and I'd have a second machine (WOOHOO).

Rostocks seem to be far enough along that seemecnc is offering a paid version that looks really nice:

http://shop.seemecnc.com/Rostock-MAX-Co … -68398.htm

Uses a version of Marlin for delta geometry and you add Panelolu equivalent for $50. They also sell 2nd extruder upgrade kits with all hardware necessary.

Building a rostock as a kit might still be a bit bumpy, however.

Now that I have played with my sd2 for a few months I've been wanting to start a printer build of my own. I at first thought about a rostock but I don't know since it seems to still be in the experimental phase. I read the the Prusa Mendle is the easiest to build but I went to there github and couldn't figure out how to download the stls. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
