Seems like this is the pot I'm looking for:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pcs-Trimmer- … xyepRRxBBq

Would the W101 1K 3296 pot also work? It's not W102, but I think it's the same resistance value and it should work?

EDIT (After having seen the new reply): So, it's safe to assume I'm at the start point?

Its possible the click isn't audible, a couple dozen CCW turns will get you the start point. The brass savings are likely from your screwdriver sliding against the screw head (100x).

Now I'm onto the torque regulator. I got the CV to click and set it appropriately, but the CC doesn't seem like it wants to click even though I swear I've turned it counter clockwise at least 100 times. Advice?

I'm good with electronics, so I could install a new pot if I had the pot handy. (Assuming it's faulty; it could be that it needs to unwound 200x. I'm still a turning... extremely tiny brass shavings are coloring the top of the blue CC pot, a phenomenon my CV pot didn't seem to experience looking at its top.)

Lol, thanks elmoret! Wasn't looking for a hole in the flats (It was on the bottom side). I'm used to inserting thermocouples directly into the barrel, so I thought I was missing a "drill out a hole" step somewhere, lol.

Hmm, there should definitely be a hole in one of the hex flats unless it got overlooked somehow. What was your order number?

Anyway, it goes in a 1/16" hole in one of the hex flats, drilled 1/8" deep. Secure with Kapton tape or similar.

The instructions I'm reading just say "Insert thermocouple in brass plug" with no associated pictures. I don't see a hole in my brass plug explicitly dedicated for a thermocouple, so I'm assuming I have to drill one out? Where do I drill it? In the side of the brass plug? In the front of the brass plug? In the coupler, since I'm going to change the brass plug to the one with the melt filter after the purge?

The guide could definitely use a lot more pictures. Would definitely help.
