Did you guys ever finish this?  I'm contemplating changing out my still working Solidoodle board for ramps or rumba.  I hate that my machine is tethered.

It all depends on what you want for features.  If you just want basic stock features I'm sure someone has an old Sang or Printerboard they would be happy to sell.
Otherwise look into a Ramps 1.4

The bed and extruder no longer heat. I have tried plugging in other hotends and nothing gets hot. I contacted solidoodle and like everyone else have not heard back. Has anyone replaced their board with something else? Will anything made for 3d printing work?
