UGH. . so for the last couple of days I had been getting terrible prints riddled with holes and could here slight popping during those prints every now and then from the filament. I was tearing my hair out changing settings like crazy and printing again but I decided my abs and pla must be saturated with moisture some how. I will be baking them for a couple of hours before I use the printer again.

But on another note, I basically had to take apart my entire extruder head because when I went to unload the pla, my nozzle temp for that extruder was somehow set at 230 degrees C and so the PLA balled up inside and it wouldn't let me get the filament out. Does anyone know where to change the temperature that the printer gets to in order to LOAD/UNLOAD filament? I know how to change the temps before a print in slicer but I don't understand why the printer wouldn't account for this when UNLOADING or LOADING filament.

Sunra, the updated post I will be making won't really focus on the actual hacking process so much as it will focus on the post-hacking process. The link provided earlier in this thread by Dominick (https://github.com/luc-github/Repetier-Firmware-0.92) is quite sufficient to walk any beginner through the process of flashing his DaVinci. There's also a link towards the bottom of that writeup that you can follow to youtube in order to watch the exact process being done on a 1.0. All you need to do differently for the 2.0 is jump the J37 pins on the board, and change a few 0's to 2's or 3's in the line of code generated by the Arduino software before you actually tell it to flash your printer (the GitHub link explains how to do this thoroughly so no worries, it's very easy).

The post I will be writing soon will focus on what to do after you have successfully flashed it. I aim to answer questions like the following:

How do I setup/configure my 2.0 Duo for use with Repetier Host?
How do I print using the Repetier Host?
What to look for in my first print after the Repetier Flash?

These are only a few of the things I will be going over. Their all things I encountered when starting to use Repetier and Slic3r, stuff that will e extremely useful to people who have never used anything other than the XYZware with their printer.

I think you will find it very useful Sunra, especially if you ever plan to flash your Duo

Gotcha, so this isn't one of those fans that blows air to the nozzle then. I'm just in a battle against cracking with abs and right now. I guess I gotta keep cranking up the heat a little by little until I get good layer adhesion.

Just an FYI for everyone but I will be posting a new topic soon about how to get your 2.0 Duo running to your liking after a repetier 0.92 flash. There will be info on printer configuration, bed leveling tricks, a few other things as well. Of course I will try to include as many pictures as physically possible that way beginners like myself in the future can have a guideline to go off of.

That is exactly what I'd figured they would do and so I went right ahead and hacked it. I absolutely love the repetier interface and how much didferent it is from xyzcrap. This hack puts YOU in control to have YOUR printer print exactly how you want it to!
