I bought it without any specific aim apart from maybe some learning (absolute beginner or ignorant in electronics). But with no much time and initial excitement lost I forgot it in a drawer. It is brand new right now. So it could be a great thing to use it with my printer. Now, I would have to find a site with easy instructions to implement Octoprint.

I have personally had 0 luck with SD printing from repetier. It takes 6-7 minutes to write onto the Card, then the printer freezes up when I try to print from the card. You could use repetier server though (I think?)

As the printings take usually long, it's normal to need to take away or turn off the computer while building. What is the moment in which you can unplug the computer-printer usb connection but the printing carries on by itself?

(Simplify3d, Repetier-host, Repetier firmware, Da Vinci 1.0a)

Thanks.
