Wow, I have a Raspberry Pi. I bought it without any specific aim apart from maybe some learning (absolute beginner or ignorant in electronics). But with no much time and initial excitement lost I forgot it in a drawer. It is brand new right now. So it could be a great thing to use it with my printer. Now, I would have to find a site with easy instructions to implement Octoprint.

It takes 6-7 minutes to write onto the Card, then the printer freezes up when I try to print from the card. You could use repetier server though (I think?)

You can but depending on the file size atleast in my case could take 10 minutes or more to transfere.

What is the moment in which you can unplug the computer-printer usb connection but the printing carries on by itself?
