			<description><![CDATA[<p>Personally I left off the aluminum piece altogether. I used the E3D holder and ran extra long screws through to the extruder. It&#039;s technically less solid but I&#039;ve never had any movement issues and it&#039;s a lot cleaner.</p>]]></description>

LOL</p><p>Assemble the plastic parts so they are one solid assembly, then mark and drill for the 3 holes to mount that metal plate. </p><p>I have both of my SD4s on the Lawsy carriages - much better performance <img src="https://www.soliforum.com/img/smilies/big_smile.png" width="15" height="15" alt="big_smile" /></p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Take the aluminum plate off and disconnect the left fan that is on it. You don&#039;t need it. Keep the rear motor fan. I should forget the mounting holes in the carriage and drill holes into the carriage to match the three one the plate, rather than vise versa. Makes more sense. Seems like two in the front nearest to the hotend and two on that part that holds the bearings, right? As it seems the second part that holds the bearings hang over the plate.</p>]]></description>

But i bought a new hex screwdriver and was able to loosen the nut. my old screwdriver must have just been worn which made it snap in half, which made me assume that those nuts werent meant to be removed. But they are off and got everything on the Y axis good. But now I have a problem with the X carriage.</p><p>I will update my main post instead of starting a new one. So please reread the OP. any help would be greatly appreciated!</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[(SD4) Help with X carriage upgrade (Lawsy and modded X carriage) Pics]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Ok so thanks to you all I was able to remove all the rods and have finished the Y carriages.
