			<description><![CDATA[<p>calibrating your extruder is very help full.</p><p>How I do it is measure 150 mm and mark it. (I measure from where it enters the extruder) then tell repetier to extrude 100 mm (note you have to have the hot end up to temp for it to extrude)</p><p>Then measure it again. we need to know the amount actually extruded so we take 150 - the amount of your 2nd measurement and you will have the amount actually extruded. lets call this value Y</p><p>Next we need to know the steps per mm for the extruder so we can go into the view firmware (alt + e) and look for&nbsp; extr .1 steps per mm (lets call this X).&nbsp; Now To figure out what you need to change this to do the following take (100 * x )/y = then new value for x</p><p>Enter the new value and then repeat just to verify.&nbsp; You want to get this close it doesn&#039;t have to be exact so a few mm off isn&#039;t a big deal if its more then 5 mm I would adjust it&nbsp; as long as you are within 5 I would leave it</p>]]></description>
