Cool thanks for sharing. Just curious how you handles the thermistor under the bed. If that thing gets loose or isn't close to bed it gets incorrect readings. I'm just using kapton tape to hold it in place

I just mounted the RAMPS right behind the existing door on the back. The cut a hole for a 120mm fan glued the fan to the outside with a small hole for a wire to go through. Then put a guard over the fan. Looked nice actually and cooled very well. Ran the RAMPS on several 24 hour prints with no issues. On a RAMPS it is not actually the stepper drivers that need cooling. It is the MOSFET that controls the bed. That is notorious for shutting down under heat.

Yea I added my own led strips too. The annoying part right now is wiring is short with kit but I'll fix that in the future. Led screen is mounted temporarily just to get things working. Panels will be added every eventually. I thought about mounting in back but cooling will be insufficient and cheesy with fan. The cooling is great now but wires are annoying

I kept mine looking stock. mounted the RAMPS in the back with a fan mounted to the stock cover. I then printed a case for the LCD and glued over the opening for the stock LCD. On the Opto endstops I cut about a quarter inch of the from where the mounting hole was but no circuit. I then cut the existing mounts slightly to accommodate the new endstops and mounted them all in stock locations Other than the enclosure for the LCD mine still looked stock I kept the existing power supply but added my own LED strips and did away with all 3.3 and 5 volt wiring.

So I have been busy stripping my davinci and getting the wires ready for ramps 1.4 Here is a summary of what I had to do.

Here is a picture of the ramps kit with laser cut wood frames:

1. First I disassembled the outer plastic of the davinci leaving the metal frame so I could reroute wires to ramps, my ramps is going to be assembled outside of the davinci in a wood box.

2. I then assembled the wood laser cut box and installed the frames. I have to cut and strip the atx PSU (12v wires) and installed them into the ramps power port. Here is a link to a tutorial on doing this. You need to short the motherboard connector to allow the PSU to operate without a PC. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53Lfy5oh7ho). I also installed pc fans to cool ramps in the wood box using the atx PSU connectors. Here is a picture of the ramps with some wires inserted.

3. I rewired all the wires to go to the wood box with ramps. I replaced the 300k davinci heated bed thermistor with a standard 3950 beta 100k thermistor. I also removed all the junk wires (blue wires that are on the heated bed, red wires/ yellow wires that connect to the davinci optic endstops and removed the davinci optic endstops. Here is a pic of where it current stands.
