It may be ok, mine may have just been bad. All I can say is try it. A new power supply will run you about $40 on Ebay.

or you can buy this one for under $25... I have been using one of these for months with no problems on my 1st SD4

and for the record, cheaper does not = better...
we purchased a cheaper kossel kit and it has been a nightmare to assemble, from bad plastics to lousy instructions to crappy hardware. it is cheaper for a reason - usually sacrificing quality. Unless you have a way to print the needed plastic parts, are very mechanically inclined, and have done this sort of thing before, I would go with the proven decent kit (ie: Folgertech)

Most of the mini kossel have a height of 180mm so they pretty much have the same height as most other printers. The can only do about 110 on the X and Y though.

I would think this is all that is needed.....

Must be nice, my kit was the third one they made and I had to cut my own rods. Thanks to me you now have 10mm screws to mount all the plastic now instead of 6mm like I got. I advised them the 6mm was too short to mount the Acrylic parts.

We still had to cut our CF rods, though. 6mm screws would've been crazy (nearly said "nuts", but that would be confusing ;-) )!

Ours were all Rev B kits, bought about a month ago.

I've just finished a FT Kossel build , and did modify the specs somewhat as I went - lengthened the rods to 255mm center-to-center, and raised the mounting point a bit for the linear rails, ended up with about 190mm diameter and similar height build area.

Although there are some weaknesses in that kit (Z-probe awfulness for one, I have settled on a slightly modified "Snow effector" from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:868258) I didn't encounter many of the issues others have had, yet - knock on wood!

Using the original z-probe's microswitch on that Snow effector is working nicely. My additions were a screwed-on washer below the lever arm to prevent sagging, and a compression spring overlapping it on top to ensure prompt return to level.

Overall, two co-workers and I have had pretty good experiences with this kit (one had a mismatched CF rod in the kit but there was enough correct sized rods to build anyway).

looking at the specs  i see a couple major shortcomings.    Power supply is too small . No heat bed. Ships direct from china soo take your chances on customer support. hot and max 280 should do most materials.

A common problem with these kits in general is the plastic connectors are generally of low quality. Not uncommon for folks who buy these kits to have to print there own . A problem if this is your first printer.

I think if I did a kossel I would spend the extra $ 100 and source aluminum corners effector and carriages. 

Take a look at this one. Ships from USA , aluminum corner connectors ,heat bed included, 300 watt power supply only downside is LCD controler is a $12 add on.
