Haha that would be the Vref pot. They're very sensitive, the tiniest little nudge will make a big difference! No surprise it freaked a bit.
Glad to hear it's sorted, keep an eye out in case it needs another slight adjustment in the future.

Thank you guys so much i finally have it working again! Not sure exactly what i did, just spun a little metal piece clockwise and then my printer started freaking out so i unplugged it and spun it the other way a little so I'm honestly not sure what i did but it worked. As you guys can probably tell I'm not great with the hardware side of electronics.

Because you state a change between ABS and PLA I'd guess over extrusion.
A fan on the control board will help if you don't already have one.
Start with calibrating E: steps per mm and extrusion multiplier. Both are covered in the WIKI.

I just recently replaced my extruder on my SD3 with an E3d V6 and it seems that my Y axis is always shifting during the print. It will always go backwards until it hits the stopper and continues to kinda just freak out (not sure the terminology XD). I have already done the entire y axis realignment a few times and I get perfect circles just like i should but I can't get it to stay aligned. It looks like the print pauses for a split second then continues all of a sudden in a different spot on the y axis towards the back. ABS does this worse than when i print in PLA.
