Solutions:

- Move the PID controller out, and use the provided spacers to move the motor forward.
- Use a deep hex socket, they're about $2 at the local hardware store. I'm happy to refund the cost.

I'm ready to start running wires but currently, the motor cannot possibly engage the auger bit. See photos below. I tried using some of the wood spacer rings behind the motor, but this new motor looks much larger than previous and physically collides with the temperature controller.
