Unless Windows 10 Print Builder has an option to input machine specs it will not work with a Da Vinci or any other printer fot that reason that is unsble to communicate its specs diring setup.

The feature in 10 I suspect was added with support or I should say at the request of HP. They are slated in the near future to release a user friendly plug and play printer that is even claimed to be able to print full color. It is estimated to be based on a resin system versus FFD printers like most of ours.

I tried a print in builder on a new windows 10 printer. The driver automatically installed and recognized the machine as a 2.0A. I sent a test print and the printer printed a single line across the bed and then the motors continued to run and jam against the end of it's travel while still extruding. I killed the power, plugged it back into my win 7 computer, and it continued to operate just fine. I wont be trying the windows 10 anymore.

I have just bought a da Vinci 1.0, the first thing I did was download the latest software, which then notified me that a Firmware grade was needed. Before I did this I had the same problem with printing from Windows 10, basically nothing happened. I managed to get the Firmware upgrade to flash, after that the printer responded and my first print job is currently printing. Have to say it its kinda noisy...but hey... it works.

The 3d Builder in windows 10 is most likely intended for HP's new plug and play 3d printer they are working on that is supposed to print in color and have all these bells and whistles. I will wait and see for that one.

Well, I decided to try out Windows 10 with my 1.1 plus.

I now displays XYZprinting Da Vinci under printers in the 'Device and Printers' panel. I start up 3D Builder and load an stl in. Then I click print and it lets me choose XYZ. It then starts to send it to the printer but nothing happens! I look in the printer job list and it's stuck on slicing...

Anyone got any further ?

Thanks,

Steve
