Netfab is my fav stl file tweaking app of all the ones I have even with its odd quirks sometimes. but still learning them. a couple others do some repairs etc better/easier I found. still wishing I had another style 3D printer for support free fine detailed tiny models I have that have details at least as good as my metal/resin cast ones. I am nearly as close to replacing my older casting methods with 3D printing as digital cameras come to film type cameras, other than production speed.

seems over 95% of all 3D file sharing sites stl files are in much need of repair or complete redesigning due to so many people having no clue how to create usable files. many files would be easier to just delete and start over from scratch having thousands of errors. and this conclusion was reached after downloading over 10,000 STL files. so thats pretty bad free lance 3D design. also about 15% of those files are not worthy of printing even if possible due to what they are and being unable to do job intended or items available much cheaper already. so use caution when browsing such sites (every known public 3D file repository on the web. and some are spammers pushing malware so careful and use firewall with antivirus).

In some occasions I've found repair doesn't help. In such an occasion, I've had to clean up the design and rework it to slice properly. Try cleaning up the lines and save it as another file like "_ _ _ rev2" and see if it helps.

If it does not, then share the original here. If someone doesn't beat me to it, I will take a stab at it between tomorrow and tuesday.
