Wardjr and Carl_m1968, thanks a lot for or the clear explanation/solution. The strange thing is, I never had to do this before (flashed it several times).
What bothers me more is the change in sound it makes while operating it manual. It used to make a smooth "zooming" sound , like the sound it (still) makes when it automatically returns to the "Home-position". Like I said, it's a sharp high-pitched sound, like is has to overcome some kind of resistance. No mechanical changes are made to the printer. Btw while printing everything works fine.

Any suggestions?

wardjr wrote:

It's that way for a reason, it doesn't know the bed is going down. In that world everything relates to the toolhead movement. So all move commands move the tool, not the platform or bed. So by default software for printers are setup so that move commands move the head , not the bed. In some designs like the Da Vinci the head however is only moved on X and Y so the bed moves instead. So moving the bed down actually moves the head up. This is normal. However some find it easier to switch settings so the bed moves when a command is issued in the expected direction which technically is not normal or correct but if it helps an operator better manage his machine I guess it is up to them.

Yesterday I (re)flashed my da vinci with the repetier-firmware and made a fresh install of repetier host. All went fine, except on manual control in RH, the bed travels in opposite directions and makes a high-pitching sound (during travel).

Does anyone have a clue? Did I by accident change some firmware value?
