I've gathered together the tools I think I'm going to need for the soldering. I was planning to put together the cable and assemble the panel first and then tackle the board upgrade. I'm starting to think I want to solder on the headers and upgrade the chip first just to get it over with. Once I have the headers on, I can try out the SD reader by itself and make sure that aspect is working before adding in the LCD.

I haven't done any electronics work before, so I'm adding to my own tools and skillset. I got a anti-static wrist strap and an anti-static mat to work on, a helping hands, and a solder iron with a very narrow tip which can be changed.

Mine came in yesterday. I'm getting started with printing the case, using one that was recently uploaded to Thingiverse that also includes legs so it can stand up.

It looks like they included the headers to add to the sanguinololu, which was considerate. I still need to get the stuff I need to make a static free work area before I get into it. I also wanted to get the printing done while everything is working in case I mess something up.
