The Da Vinci does not use any of the endstop MAX inputs they are all MIN. Also if you are using my compiled version of Marlin it is set up for Optical end stops only. It will not work with mechanical endstops without further tweaking.

However, now the printer is not noticing the endstops when it homes. I have my z axis endstop hooked to the far right set of pins, and it lights up, and the light stops when the endstop it crossed, but doesnt stop the z axis stepper.

However, when i connect the board to the computer, and try to connect to it via Repetier-host, i get a bunch of jibberish, such as

15:30:43.198 : Communication timeout - reset send buffer block
15:30:49.111 : ??=???W=???=????9?E????q?????????????9????9?
15:30:49.115 : ??9??????(???,??W???(???,??????,???,??????,
15:30:49.115 : ??(??9?

This is running a version of Marlin provided by Carl_m1968. any help?
