So I played around some more an still no luck. Even on Win8.1 no luck. I went to the xml file in ReplicatorG and manually forced the port to the port the PC was showing and still no talky. The guys that I bought it from have gone silent on me now that I mentioned the letters RMA to them. I think I might just pick up a RUMBA board and start from scratch. I just wish I knew what the extruder offset was.

If anyone was a CTC dual and has ReplicatorG installed please look at the firmware settings if you can and tell me what the extruder offset is..

I recently purchased the CTC Metal version. It has a mightyboard clone for those not yet familiar with this model. The mightyboard is the controller used in Makerbots.

I have spent three days and even reinstalling windows trying to get this machine to connect to ReplicateG .40 as well as Makerware and Makerware Desktop all versions. Nothing sees the specified port even though windows sees and identifies and installs correct drivers. It just seems that no client works and I am suspecting a bad board even though it works great from SDcard. I just dont want to be limited to SDcard printing only.

So has anyone had connection isdues and corrected them or does anyone have suggestions? I want to upgrade to sailfish but if I cant connect now then I cant record and save my EEPROM values to put back into sailfish.
