I to have that problem on thin wall prints and it tends to only be with the outside perimeters. I have been using Cura as my slicer. I'm not sure if I 100% understand the belt checking that is being discussed but will give that a go.

when I found mine was off a tooth I loosened up the belt tensioner and then slid if forward, then I made the belt "jump the to the correct number" after releasing the tension I verified it was correct and then retightened the belt.

There is & 1 mm offset on the square. 2 sides are 19 mm & 2 are 18mm.

I'll try your method. What did you do when you found out?

I've also noticed the steppermotor gives a knick. I'm gonna try to take it apart when I have the time.

For now all else runs smoothly. Been searching around on the xyz forum here & found many fixes which have resulted in this one, with which I am very pleased already.

Did you check to make sure it is square?

When I first got mine the y axis belts where not the same. the left side was off by 2 teeth so it wasn't square.

I checked for this by moving the print carriage all the way forward and counting the teeth on the left and the right side to make sure they where both the same.

tightened everything again. still no results.

Sad bump.

Thinking the only option I have left is taking everything apart & reassemble to asses any faults.

I just wrapped very thin magnet wire tightly between the gear and e-clip.

I've had a similar problem with my da Vinci. Try to place a thin washer in between the gear and c-lock, so it doesn't slip. Here is a website that sells a kit to solve the problem (http://www.wctek.com/shop/xyz-accessori … s-kit.html). I just got my own washers and they worked fine.

I've been lurking around for some time now & I've been enjoying many topics discussed here.
They've put me well on my way to solving many issues with my own Da Vinci 1.0 printer.

I started out with some 20mm cubes & they turned out pretty well.

Recently I've been trying to print circles, but I've been confronted with this knick

Other than that, the circles turned out pretty fine for their size.

Does anybody have any clue where this error might come from?

I have a Da Vinci 1.0 with Repetier & Slicer.

Tried: - tightening belts
- replacing broken bearing mount
- Bed Leveling
- tightening bed so it wont move during printing
- tightening pulleys
- Different settings

I've been thinking it might be a backlash or a stepper motor problem now.
