I need to disassemble because I am investigating the sudden decrease of performance and the source of mysterious black powder that is building up on my base plate right under the bearing. I am puzzled with this powder. I mean, if it was bearing (lubricated!) it would have jammed after loosing so much metal. And if it is the auger grinding the barrel (I have bent it once and straightened out) than how does it end on the wrong side?
I perfectly understand that I need to heat up to remove the auger. So you say just to pull it? Will try this evening.

Are there any disassembling instructions? If no, tell me please what is the best way to remove auger? I've removed the nozzle, how do I get rid of plastic plug now? Turn motor on for it to be pushed out or remove motor and pull the auger? Will I have to apply a lot of force?
I fear to clog the threads because plastic I run is acetone-resistant.
