So its scrap then

Not necessarily. Most of the ones that blew out where repairable depending on the version of your controller. Where the 12 volts plugs in at which is a white connector with yellow and black wires, there are a couple of surface mounted resistors. Those should measure near short as they are zero ohms and being used as fuses. If one or more of those measure high as in several hundred ohms or more then they have burned as they should. Depending on your soldering skills you can order replacements from mouser or digikey and replace them. If those are not blown then the issue lies deeper in your board in which case yes the board is scrap.

One last thing you could do is measure the resistance across the heater. Unplug it at the top of the extruder and use a meter to measure from pin to pin in that connector. Its a 40 watt heater running at 12 volts so the resistance should be right around 3.33 ohms. If it is lower that is bad.

Such as right when a print finishes and it is still hot but unpowered. Several users here have blown out there controllers because there are live exposed wires right at the base of the heater. Short those with the brush and you put a short across the boards 12 volt rail.

Too late to tell you this know however..

Well that leaves either a bad power supply or you have a short in the 12 volts section of the heater circuit. My guess is the later. Make sure the wires on the heater are not exposed and touching each other or touching the brass heat block. But if it happens when just idle that points back the the supply.

Well, looking at the video, it seems like your thermistors is showing 1 degree at room temperature. If you are not keeping it in the fridge, it should show the ambient temperature before you start heating it up. So it might be a brake or short in the thermistor. Did you by chance cleaned your hotend with the wire brush? - It might have shorted it if some damage occurred to the thermistor connection. Anyway, just a guess based on limited information. I think I read somewhere that Da vinci will continue restarting if something wrong with the thermistor.

Ok, so i had a print a few nights ago and my printer was on for a while. The print was finished and looked great! Now my davinci 1.0 will work, but it restarted at random items within around 5 to 20 seconds.... I tried to reinstall the firmware and nothing. I cut the cables to the extruder off and took off my fan, still does the same thing.. I was thinking maybe the PSU is going bad? Any ideas?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leRMsyKRWzU

not the best quality
