My guess is that the SD card has failed. It is printing the same file no matter what stl you send it. The DaVinci does all printing from the SD card. If it can no longer write to it you'll just end up printing the same object over and over.

I think the firmware still follows the 1.0.X numbering for the F1.0A series, 1.0.6 being the latest (probably loosing reset capability with it). The 1.1G is for the previous F1.0 model no? Suspect if you manage to flash that 1.1G to it, you may brick the thing.

The issue I am having, I cannot get a file to print correctly. When a file is loaded, or even with the DEMO file, the print head will print a strange diamond pattern raft. It always prints the same size (about 2" x 6"), no matter how small the .stl file is. Then, after the first layer the print head will chatter, as if something is skipping. I've looked it over, with the power off, the head slides smoothly in all directions, the motor modules shafts seem tight and the belts are not loose or worn.
Since I am use the same software on all machines I ruled that out. And after some searching through this forum, I seem to think it's the firmware as none of the hardware seem to be damaged. I also think it's the firmware as the printer only prints the same strange raft, no matter how big or how small am object file I load.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If it is having issue, firmware will usually not fix it. So as Even asked, what are your issues? Many of us myself included have extensive experience with these machines.

I am a school teacher with 3 DaVinci printers. We use the resetting tool as a lot of filament is used. All 3 printers have 1.1.34.7 software. And two of my printers have the 1.2.3 firmware (I can still use the reset tool as I have the fire wall up).

My problem: The printer with an issue is running 1.0.1 Firmware, and now I'm getting some issues with it. I would like to UPGRADE to 1.1.G.
