I think I figured this out. I doubled my firmware steps/mm settings & uploaded, but nothing changed. tiny prints. Tried laying out a 10mm strip and moving X&Y axis while changing the steps/mm with M92, finding the sweet spot & saving using M501. Still reverted to tiny prints. Then, on a whim, I tried the M92 on the z axis while printing. I doubled the steps on z during this, and it printed correctly. But, before this print, I did the M500 command and got the same steps per mm as before the firmware update. On a reprap forum, it was suggested to use the M502 (default values) command to reload the changed firmware parameters onto EEPROM.

Short answer- your guess was correct wardjr.

I meant no offense, a simple search of "DRV8825" Revealed many posts and with in the first few was the answer. Now if the problem is in the fact that you have already "Properly" doubled the steps, then that is a different problem and should have been stated in the OP. I am making the assumption that you have a Sanguinololu board and therefor the only thing it can be is properly doubling the Steps/mm as that board has no jumpers to set for the different driver. So maybe you didn't get them saved in EEPROM.

http://www.soliforum.com/search/4000166/

Wardjr, I did in fact double my steps per mm in firmware. I don't really like the fact you are replying to me in this manner, assuming I did not put forth the effort to search. I have been searching for several weeks. Please, if it is simple for you to find a solution will you forward the search results? Because I have not found them. thank you for such a civilized response

Ummm... Maybe you should consider doubling the steps per mm in your EEPROM since your drivers are now 1/32 instead of 1/16th. Pretty simple concept and pretty simple math. Not to mention with any form of search effort you'd find the answer.

Hi all, I was having some issues with my stock A49xx drivers on my SD2, so I decided to swap out the drivers with geeetech's DRV8825. Did the tuning, but now all of my prints come out as tiny blobs. Seems like since I enabled the 1/32 stepping, it moves half as much as I want it to.

I messed up somewhere, and haven't found a good solution through searching this forum. Has anyone had a similar problem, and what did you do to fix it?
