I checked all cables and everything looks good.  I even unplugged the x-axis stepper motor and connected it to the z-axis and it seems to be working fine, so I don't think it's the cable. Is there anywhere to get these cables for testing?  I have no clue what else to check.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I cant wait to get this working!  Here's a video showing my problem.
  It's not my actual machine, but it's the exact problem except that mine sometimes wont even move.  You just hear a humming noise when it doesn't move. Thanks

How long until it breaks at the zip tie is the next problem.

Guessing when the wire gets close to its maximum extension. Now to figure out if its a break in the wire or the connector on the stepper. How many things will we have to re-engineer to get this thing reliable?

Ended up replacing all the wires and soldering onto the board directly.

Spent about a week and a half trying to calibrate the Press.  Then when I think I finally got it the x axis goes crazy half way through the print. X axis is getting stuck, making a grinding kind of sound, and when I try to home it, it moves in the opposite direction.  Sent Solidoodle a support email on the 23rd and haven't heard anything. Really want to get this setup, so many thing I want to print.
