You can check if the stepper is bad by switching it with another stepper. You should just be able to swap the wiring and see if the extrusion stepper spins when it's connected to, say, Y. Also, stepper motor sizes are standardized for the most part. The torque curves are not, but you shouldn't have worry much about physically fitting one. I don't know anything about the airwolf so my help is limited there.

Hi folks,

I have an Airwolf HD (#924, a couple of years old now). The wolf's been running great until a week ago. During normal setup I check all axis in the "prepare">"move axis">"1mm". I have done this for years now and finally something broke. The extrusion stepper does not respond. All axis are fine and respond normally. SO here's the question:

- Stepper motor dead or rambo board (for that one axis...seems unlikely)?
- Does anybody know of a good replacement stepper motor that will fit EXACTLY (specs and mounting dims)? A link would be AWESOME!

Miles at Airwolf took excellent care of us but he be gone. Hoping somebody out there has some good info.

TIA!
