			<description><![CDATA[<p>Well, after some googling, it appears that I may have fried the input pins for both the hot-end and heated bed thermistors.</p><p>Now, my question is, can I replace the 644P with another chip and reprogram, or is there something else on the board that&#039;s broken?</p><p>Any response would be greatly appreciated :-)</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Have you double checked they are plugged into the correct pins?<br />Other idea is the wires may have a short/partial signal from the board.<br />Ballpark guesses</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>When I get home tonight, I plan on reloading the firmware.&nbsp; Maybe I messed up something when I redid the hot end cooling fan (failed to disconnect power, and got a spark).&nbsp; I certainly hope that I didn&#039;t cook something on the board.&nbsp; It appears to still be operational (I can home all the axes and send it commands)</p><p>Wish me luck</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[Solidoodle 2 thermistor problems (extruder AND bed)]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p><p>First, my setup:<br /> - Solidoodle 2<br /> - Sanguinololu with 644p<br /> - Pico hot-end<br /> - RepetierHost</p><p>A couple weeks ago, I had a long-running print go awry.&nbsp; I made the stupid mistake of using solid-core wire for the hot-end cooling fan, and it developed a break about 20% into a 9 hour print.</p><p>I also made the mistake of not keeping an eye on the print.&nbsp; I woke up the next morning to find that the filament (PETG) had jammed and the extruder stepper continued to feed the filament, but not into the hot-end, but out the front, leaving me with a nice big ball of unusable filament.</p><p>I unplugged the printer and switched over to using my other printer for the project.</p><p>Today, I decided to plug the Solidoodle2 back in and found a few things really disconcerting.<br />&nbsp; &nbsp;1) Repetier is currently telling me that the hot-end is at 88C (though it is at room temperature)<br />&nbsp; &nbsp;2) Repetier is also telling me that the print bed is at 91.3C (it too is at room temperature)<br />&nbsp; &nbsp;3) I daringly ran through the auto-pid tuning routine, and while the hot-end was at (supposedly) 200C, I was able to manually push through a bunch of PETG which came out very very &quot;liquidy&quot; (I&#039;m guessing it was a LOT hotter than 200C)</p><p>I&#039;ve measured the bed thermistor and it reads somewhere around 70-80k ohms, and the same for the hot-end thermistor.</p><p>Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?</p><br /><p>Thanks in advance</p>]]></description>
