I don't see why people were expecting the blueprints... They're a fledgling company, I doubt they want to leave themselves open to be taken advantage of. This early, I would also play my cards close to my chest. Once the printer's actually out, people can figure out ways to mess with it, just like any other 3D printer.

I ended up making the pledge (the price was right) so I may be biased, but so far am cautiously hopeful. I'm of ggunners' mindset in that receiving an actual usable product is my main priority; once it's in my hands I can judge if it measures up to the promise.

- the motors literally use plastic gears and have no real torque
- proprietary hotend

- a delta without any delta advantages

I've made the investments and been burned two out of three. My highest priority when buying a printer is actual product and good fulfillment. I expect low end products to have issues that need correction. But if the product never ships, it is a completely different issue.

I don't know what people who have more printing/tinkering experience than me might think, but...  as it is, it would definitely make 3D printing more accessible, esp. to a younger audience. It costs less than most game consoles, I think parents could let their kids get behind that smile

I also wonder about the print bed. It doesn't appear to be heated, which pretty much leaves ABS out as a material to print with unless there is something spectacular going on with the adhesion.
