If I knew more about them I would have probably bought a kit and built my own, but not that confident yet.  Maybe after I get mine and play with it for a while.

It boils down to how much you want to pay... however the MB has 2 extruders stock which is nice depending on what your going to print with it.

You probably couldn't go wrong with the Replicator 2x or the Solidoodle, but you could get two Solidoodles for one Replicator.

The replicator 2x has a heated bed. Will support abs. Also has dual extruders.

We will mainly be using this 3D unit to build models of designs we do before going to extrusion/die casing and so on.

From what I can gather, this unit seems to be fairly popular although a larger build platform would be a bonus!

1) Any advice on this unit would be greatly appreciated
2) Can we build a model in sections and join them together by sectioning our file.
