Ciao Alessandro

If you flash then you also have the ability to adjust the steps per mm on all the axis and extruder. This will zero in your feed volume which on mine was off and it will allow you to adjust the x, y, z, so that 20mm on paper is 20 mm on the printer. You can adjust acceleration and many other parameters you have no other way to access that are all firmware.

Well you have some options out there, I myself cannot flash my machine because I have the AIO so I'm installing the ED3 and to get around using clear filament there is a thread on here where you put electrical tape around the sensors.

Hello All

I've been pondering a switch to Repetier firmware. I currently run the latest XYZ firmware on my DaVinci 1.0 and I'm using Simplify3d as my slicer.

I've read both positive and negative results have been experienced by other users.

The main reason I want to swap firmware is so I can run more exotic filament such as clear. Repetier would allow me to bypass the optical filament sensor.

Anyone here use Simplify3d/Repetier on their DaVinci 1.0? If so, what has been your experience?

Thanks,

John
