I am not sure I'd know better than mdrVB6. Yes that is Moire and becomes more pronounced when switching to an E3d. The PEEK hot end acts like a buffer so it isn't as noticeable. I am also curious if you did as mdrVB6 suggests. Also, what steps per mm and extrusion multiplier did you end up at?

Yup, time for a top to bottom calibration. These things can be tricky to diagnose. Your problem could be any combination of printing too close to bed, moire, over extrusion... or something else.

I doubt that your print head being off vertical is enough to be causing this. Do a little trig and you will see that even if you are 10 degrees off vertical, which you aren't, then it still comes to something like 0.00x mm difference on each side of the nozzle , and not really something you could see without a magnifying glass.

Im not sure if its moire as I never had that issue with the stock extruder. I agree with mdrVB6 that it is getting smushed. I have tried different bed levels but I am getting the same wave like feature. Could it be possible that the extruder head itself is slightly off vertical and is smushing at one side and is fine on the other.

It may be moire, but I think you may also be printing too close to the bed. You should be getting some "smush" but when it comes out in blobs like that, it means that it is struggling for a second to come out because it is too close, but then after a brief second when the pressure builds up, it comes out in a bigger blob which gives that sloppy look. Too close to the bed is also indicated by the small blobs in the middle of your print. The first layer will be smoother when your height is perfect.

I would turn your bed adjustment screw to about 1/4 turn lower and send us another picture. Yes, it is a tiny amount but it can make a different.

And to check for moire, draw a line on your extruder motor post. When it is moving, if it kinda ticks along instead of smoothly gliding, that means it has too much current and you need to dial back the vref. Do a search for more info.
