Update - They will be re-listing them in about a week

Bumping this because its been about a month and the RUMBA is still not listed.  I have to wonder if they have reconsidered fixing it.  Hopefully the RUMBA is not history.  I was really about to order another one for my new printer build but I am seriously considering going to a smoothie board now.  Adrian, have you heard anything else.

Apparently there is an issue with the Bootloader they were using, and are looking to make some changes. No word on when they will return but I'll let you know once I get an update. They pulled them because they didn't want to upset any customers with any issues.

In other news, they aren't keen on doing any new designs because there is just no money in it anymore ..which is a bit sad to hear. Gotta make money to be able to run a business though, so I do understand.

Will update further when have more details. So they aren't discontinued yet, just not available while they fix some software issues.

But then again - you may want to wait until we find out what is going on in regards to the Rumba at RRD... there has to be a  reason for them being pulled and I am curious as to what it is.

So RRD is no longer selling the Rumba boards? could not find them listed at all...

Still trying to find the appropriate stepper motors to replace all mine.

Finding a US supplier for the exact steppers is tough one. Any suggestions? That Nema 17 is tricky (same with finding fan for it)

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I had a set of Lawsy linear bearing carriages printed by Shapeways. I wanted really good quality. I 've also ordered new rods from Solidoodle which finally have arrived. And a new direct Y mounting system.

I'm not going to do it all at once though. I think it would be difficult to figure out where I've screwed up (if i do)

So

- direct y drive
- E3D (assuming I get the machining back) and power supply
- linear upgrade
- GT2
- new heater and print bed.

Yup, one thing at a time is a good idea.

of your list, I would change things around a little, but I know everyone has thier own preferences/priorities...
me, I would go in this order:
- linear upgrade (done - Love it!)
- E3D and power supply (I already have an upgraded psu, but the E3D is on my wish list)
- new heater and print bed. (undecided between this & the E3D as being the next project)
- direct y drive (with bearings, not the bushings)
- GT2, or maybe fishing line - after the stock belts are pretty much done.
