Very strange that the rod wobbles going down but not going up!

I, too, hear that clunking noise when the bed is going up, on one of my printers. It did not seem to be doing any harm, so I ignored it.

The rod only seems to try and rock around when the bed is going down (which you can see in the video)... I can feel it in the motor just touching it. But only when the platform is descending.

And now all of a sudden the platform is no longer making that loud clunking noise..

I went to lower my bed after a print and I heard what sounded like a clicking and the innermitten motor noise.

I've always had what I thought was a slight bend in my z-axis but my banding hasn't been horrible. But it's not like I have ever seen another solidoodle in action to compare mine to.

Any ideas whats going on here?
