It appears dependent on using different "processes" (basically, print settings) for different models. If you don't already own Simplify3D, this may not be much help as it's a $140 purchase.

All 3d printers print multiple items at the same time unless their software allows to do separately. The issue with separate printing is the gantry could hit the other object. Ultimakers official software is Cura which may run your Da Vinci depending on which version firmware you are running. I run mine with the latest Cura but I also have flashed to Repetier firmware.
