That would make sense. I have definite plans for the new power supply, new bed heater and E3D, just gotta get a round tuit sometime (maybe I can print one :-).

At the moment the layers seem to be sticking together better in the tall object I'm printing, so maybe 215 was enough for now.

Did you read the "printer error"? Most likely, it says something like "MAXTEMP" reached, which means you are trying to exceed the hot end's temperature limit. Sounds like its time for an E3Dv6 hot end, if you want to go hotter. smile

Are you still using the stock hotend? Going above 220C reported temp will soften and melt the PEEK barrel. Time for that e3d? wink

You can make the stock hotend print hotter by re flashing the firmware and changing MAXTEMP for extruder 0, but this isn't a good idea.

That being said if you are still using the stock PSU am upgrade will never hurt anything. It'll stop the lights from flickering if you have that problem (I did).

If I try 215, it seems to work OK (so far). I've been meaning to wire up a much better power supply I have for a long time now, maybe I should really get around to doing that? :-).
