Try this one instead, I scaled it down 40% already and added some thickness to the ring so the slicer will see it.

If you got a bitmap (at least 600 pixels wide) you could use PhotoToMesh to create a bas relief version of the logo and ouput a 3D stl file.

Do you like her enough to spend $45, see attached...

well i printed it today and wierdly enough the outer ring didn't print but that may be because i cut down the size of the logo to 40% of the original

It won't print well imo the details will be too small, but without them ir just looks like a shadow of the logo.

I traced in autocad, then brought it into solidworks to extrude to the dif. Heights, it's probably not remotely the easiest way plus the software will run you 6k or more. It's simpler for me having used them both forever. I was just testing how much work it would be.

cmetzel, so clean! Is this a difficult process in solidworks? I want to learn how to do logo conversions for some local shops that I want to work with. So I am trying to find the simplest solution to produce a nice quality stls.

You don't need a 3d logo (unless u were trying to create more of a sculptured version of the logo).

SVG is just a vector image file format [svg wiki page]. You can probably find a dolphins svg on google pretty easily and see if that works in tinkercad. you might need to do some basic image editting in a graphics application to get the desired output. If you do not have an editor that can handle svg, I suggest checking out the open source Inkscape.

If you use a mac, then you can use the free omnomnom to create 3d printable objects from image files.

Manx, tinkercad.com allows you to upload a .svg file and it will create a stl with whatever height level you want. It might be your best bet in easily getting this one done.
