Yes, I am still using the stuff that came with the printer. I'll see if I get better results when my order for more filament comes. Thanks.

Here's another failed print. It's supposed to be a weeping angel chess piece (from Doctor Who). Everything went well as you can see for about 2 thirds of the print. Then.... Well... Not great really.

I tried different settings. This was done with the bed at 110 and the extruder at 250, hairspray on the bed and the resolution at 0.3. Was looking so good for so long (the higher temp seems to make the layers stick better than my previous settings), then it just flopped. No idea why this happened. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

This is my first proper attempt at a print after many small scale efforts and calibration runs. Printed at 0.3mm (the only resolution I seem able to print at), extruder 215 degrees, bed 110 degrees.

Can anyone tell what my problems are? The large gaps come from the issue I have where the extruder jams every 40 layers or so (posted elsewhere). If I stay present I can apply downwards pressure on the filament when it happens and it's OK for another 40 layers or thereabouts. Then it jams again. Rinse and repeat. So I know why that happens. Additionally, the layers don't seem to stick together too well, and the small light on the top was shifting from side to side as the extruder moved. Is there a way to stop that?

Have to say, so far I'm not exactly wowed. I hope it gets better than this!
