Also is the thermocouple installed in the hole in the side of the nozzle or somewhere else? The insulation also needs to cover the nozzle so it doesn't get cooled by the fan.

There is so much wrong here, I don't know where to begin. Did you look at the instructions at all?

1.) That thing under the motor - that's supposed to be the main support, attached to the flanges. It appears to be broken, which is very strange. Instead you are using a huge chunk of wood? The replacement piece needs to be the same dimensions as the original.
2.) You don't seem to be using the shaft collar, which tells me the whole thrust bearing section is not assembled correctly.
3.) The filament guide is not being used. Use it.
4.) The fan is in the wrong place.
5.) You have the temperature control set to 241C?! Way too high for ABS.

Get those fixed and we'll go from there. And please, please follow the instructions!

Leave it running to normalize the pressure in the barrel and make sure your feeding right.
The motor angle looks indeed weird and spiral shapes are a sign of not enough material in the barrel.

The back gear motor looks titled putting the socket at a poor angle onto the auger. The fan is for cooling the plastic not the hotend move it out to where it's cooling the plastic. You also need something to keep proper tension on the filament whether it be a winder or a puller one

faye1004 wrote:

We are finally successful to assemble the unit, but we are facing a few problems...:

As shown in the pics...

Why is the extruded ABS filament always in spiral shape? is it due to our insufficient vertical wood support?
(we are replacing the auger wood support soon)

As this is our very first hands on experience... seriously lack of some skills, any advice is very much appreciated!
