Youve confirmed what I believed the prob. <br />I have printed PLA. <br />Setting the right temp along w/ the fan cooler speed is a fine line. <br />A &quot;Load&quot; filament is performed before starting a print or it will get stuck.</p><p> I made 2 sml heatsinks, mounted on the block, the next mod will be slitting the aluminum block to use as the heatsink.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>The thermal break is that threaded tube. It should have fins on it like all after market hot ends do if you want to do PLA. With the threaded tube as it is, it gets hot enough that the PLA will swell in it and jam in the tube. The motor on the extruder dies not have the torque to push it even though you may be able to by hand when it does swell.</p><p>The thermal break is supposed to separate the cold end from the hot end but the Da Vinci 1.0 technically dies not really have a cold end.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Heres pics of the DaV hotend assembly, disassembled. Its a straight shot to the hotend. And you can see where the &quot;guide tube&quot; seals to the brass hotend. That&#039;s the theory. The fact is that the Da Vinci 1.0 was never made to handle PLA and the head is not made correctly with the proper cooling needed to keep the heat from creeping up into the thermal break and causing the PLA to swell before entering the heated area of the extruder and jamming.</p>]]></description>
