			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>UPDATE ON THE PROBLEM OF THE SPOOL STICKING</p><p>I have seen many different ideas to fix this most of which call for you to make a new stand to hold the spool. I have been experimenting with ways to keep the spool in its original position.&nbsp; The solution that is working the best for me is a handfull of bbs from an air soft gun.&nbsp; They act as bearing and allow the spool to spin freely.&nbsp; It is working really well, I am even able to close the lid.&nbsp; I really like doing this to help keep the heat inside as it was designed to do.&nbsp; Only note, be careful when you fully open the lid.</p><br /><p>Note To Solidoodle - Maybe incorporate three or four roller bearings under the spool.<br />Search ball roller bearing in Google for examples</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I had the same issue I am going to try putting a few ball bearings under the spool to allow it to rotate when the spool gets tight.&nbsp; I will do some testing and let you know the results.&nbsp; I would hope this is easier than making a new spool holder.</p>]]></content>

Its not really economically smart to order solidoodle spools from the US as I live in Europe. I made a temporary spool holder by hanging a roll on the outside of the press. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>So I was having problems like many of you Press owners out there.&nbsp; Most of the problems were solved thanks to all the contributers in this forum.<br />However there still remained some problems with the actual printing.&nbsp; For example one of my first print job would not complete so only the bottom half gets printed.&nbsp; Another print there were some shifting in the print in the x and y direction.&nbsp; And of course I started getting some jamming issue.&nbsp; Thankfully the jamming issue was not serious and I was able to clear it by poking the nozzle with a needle and then reheating it to 250c.&nbsp; Now for the x y shifting I couldn&#039;t quite figure out what was causing those problems since I couldn&#039;t see anything that would cause any jamming to occur in those direction.&nbsp; Then I started thinking that may be it was the filament that is getting caught and preventing the extruder to move freely.&nbsp; And then thinking further that must be what&#039;s causing the filament jamming issue as well.</p><p>So the problem is that the way the Press was designed with the spool sitting flat is to me a fundamentally weak design decision.&nbsp; Because its laying flat if the filament gets caught on the side of the spool or you get to a point where the filament is really tightly wound around the spool, the spool itself can&#039;t rotate around to fix itself.&nbsp; And since the filament keeps getting caught the extruder motor is not able to feed the hot end or it causes jamming in the x y direction.</p><p>To rectify this problem I suggest you take the spool out of the machine and either make a stand for it or just unwind the filament manually (which is what I did and it worked, finally).&nbsp; I will be printing a vertical stand for it and I&#039;ll post the mesh in the forum if anyone is interested.</p>]]></content>
