Thanks for the feedback Tin. I actually spent all morning going through designs. You're right, there is no shortage of options to choose from. Unfortunately, I still haven't found one that provides access to the ports, prevents the SD card from being removed, and isn't wastefully large or silly.

The folks over at kidsoncomputers dot org build computer labs for underprivileged children around the world. It is an all volunteer organization and they do all this with only donations and old/donated hardware. The recent release of the RaspPi2 finally adds enough power to the device to actually make it a possibility. The low cost and small size would make it possible to provide more children access to computers.

The small size also increases the risk of the devices walking off. The micro SD cards could also be a temptation because of their uses in cell phones for additional storage. Theft has been a problem before, but I think the 3d community may have an answer.

With some small modifications I believe the standard RasPi case could reduce the likelyhood of theft. The bottom of the case could be simple, with a flat surface and one or two screw holes. That would allow it to be glued/epoxied to the back of the monitor, or screwed into the desk. The top portion should allow access to the ports/power connector but extend over the SD card so that it can't be removed when the case is closed. The two halfs should also require a screw or two to connect.

I don't have the skills to design a case like that, and the organization can't afford to pay for it. I'm hoping someone in the community may be interested in helping, or could point me in the right direction. Thanks!
