As for the brass gear, I see no hex screw. Like browning said, it is pressed on.

There is no set screw on the stock Da Vinci exturder so it isn't that. The gear is actually pressed on.

ok thank you. Did yours made that click noise since you got them or after some hours ?
Mine just started lately to make that noise.

You could check the grub screw on the motor gear and make sure it is tight. Other than not sute of another source. Mine did it it from day one. But the extruders where geared where this is direct.

the print comes off great so I doubt it's the temperature. I am using XYZ's filament.

Any idea ?
