Someone suggested that I "check my X and Y backlash", so, in particular, I am looking for thoughts about this problem (which is not really a symptom).  Solidoodle said that they could not offer anything at this time relating to evaluating or decreasing X or Y backlash.

Often questions are asked and answered repeatedly here; this could be due, in part, to our inattention to the Wiki
