oh ok, I will try take out the bottom screws and tackle from there. btw the switch does has a click sound everytime I press it.

I was thinking also, since I am from Singapore, waiting for the replacement switch from US might take ages,. will try to find a compatible micro switch locally as well.

Got a reply from support. Was asked to checked the limit switch's connection too. Thanks carl_m1968, you nailed it right there.
Visually and physically mine looks ok. I was told to issue G-Code M119, and found my X-axis electrically closed all the time, irregardless pressing it or not. The support offers to send me a replacement switch. But the x-axis limit switch is more confined compared to the y-axis. chanish83 you are lucky yours is the y-axis switch connection loose.

But my concern is, what if the problem is down stream, i.e. the other end connecting to the mainboard. It will be a real pain then. I am asking for instruction as to how the Press can be dismantle properly also. Waiting for the support's conformation...

Thank you carl_m1968, that worked. The plug on the Y-axis limit switch was loose. Works now!

Check that your limit switches are connected, and connected properly by looking at the working access. The switches have three terminals. C, NC and NO. C which is common should have a wire. Then either NC normally closed o r NO normally open should have a wire. Varies on machines so you will need to compare to working axis as I dont have this specific machine.

Having the same issue only with the y-axis. Slams into the opposite side from the homing switch. When I try to Home Y in setup in moves slightly away from the homing sensor, and won't move back unless I do it manually. Haven't heard back from service yet.

waited very long for this solidoodle press to arrive,. however it fail out of the box.

After extruder and bed temp reached its set value, I try to extrude 50mm, the ABS material extrudes beautifully.

But when I try to do Z-offset calibration, that is where all hell break loose! extruder trys to home all the axises,. but when it comes to the x-axis, it moves away from the microswitch instead of towards it. when it reaches the left-end, it grind the x-axis drive belt.

when I try to manually click move the x-axis, (in soliPrint -> Tools -> Printer Config) by dragging the x-axis slider on screen, one side of the movement is dead. the G-Code window keep echoing " :endstops hit: X:-value ", however the rest of the axis movement was ok. extruder moves according to the direction of the slide.
