Your print head could be too close to the bed. Try lowering the bed just a bit. If it is too close it will cause back pressure which stop it from extruding and make the gears just dig into the feed.

been having a major problem recently with my printer every time i try to load filament i load it in it starts feeding works for a while then just stops extruding now i know my temperature is fine and i have replaced the dodgy connector that powers the heat element all i can think of maybe the spring that holds the filament loader thing has come loose or something and its not getting a good grip on the filament causing it to strip it / smooth it down i have also taken everything apart and cleaned thoroughly so i do not think that is the problem.

any help would be much appreciated thanks guys
