			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Oh i see.&nbsp; It homes on some light gates and then just uses the stepper from those points.&nbsp; Im used to encoder type machines, this is the first stepper machine i have had.&nbsp; I may pick these up my machine is very &quot;buzzy&quot; especially while doing any circular interpolation.</p>]]></content>

You dont even need to remove the belts completely.&nbsp; Just loosen the tension adjusters so you can slip them off the motor gears only.</p>]]></content>

The entire issue with a Da Vinci is the stock controller is putting too much current out to all the motors and eventually they will fail as mine did. You already posted a video. You can use Repetier all you want, unless you use the dampeners yours will still be noisy? Only other option is to completely change out the controller to one that has current control on the drivers.</p>]]></content>

I agree the extuder is top heavy, that&#039;s why I swapped over to Andy&#039;s bowden extruder last year. These did quite my unit down quiet a bit, but are not an end all. They make a difference though and for people who are not as ambitious as you or I can benefit from them.</p>]]></content>

Once I installed my RAMPS controller and adjusted the proper current to the motor I cant hear it making a sound from ten feet away. The cooling fan on the power supply is now the loudest part.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I think I may have the Z-Axis stepper removal figured out;</p><p>1. Jog the bed up to near top height and power off the machine.</p><p>2. Prop up the bed so it doesn&#039;t drop down. I used a paper towel tube.</p><p>3. Loosen the four hex nut set screws in the linking collar at the bottom of the threaded shaft. (They&#039;re really small, place in a safe spot.)</p><p>4. Hand-turn the shaft high enough to give some clearance to the top of the stepper. </p><p>5. Remove the stepper and separate from the mount. </p><p>6. Install the dampener and reinstall the stepper. </p><p>7. Hand-turn the shaft back down and align with the top of the stepper motor shaft. </p><p>8. Replace the linking collar, replace and retighten the hex nut set screws. Remove the item holding the bed up to height. </p><p>9. Test the bed for free movement by jogging down. </p><p>10.
