Hi,

I have used the following method to get a quick evaluation of how a colorant mixture and resin
will look when made into filament. Weigh out accurately as you can a small quantity of masterbatch
mixture and virgin resin in the desired ratio. You can even chop up masterbatch pellets into very small
bits to keep the quantities down and not waste a lot of resin and masterbatch in your experiments.
Cover a hotplate with aluminum foil and put the mixture on the foil covered hotplate. As the mixture
melts stir with a toothpick until homogeneous. Cool and evaluate the colored resin.
Using this method you can quickly get a very accurate determination of what your colored
filament will look like and not waste a lot of masterbatch, resin and time.
Weighing accuracy of course is very important to this method. Small very accurate electronic scales
can be bought on eBay for a relatively cheap cost.

I quickly put the setting mash between foil and squeezed it into as long a flat as possible. I will cut and compare with the ink infused one.

Everyone has his/her vision of how a special color is, so if you say turqoise it's impossible to know exactly what you are after.
Typically turqoise is blue, green and white in different measures.
